The Kuwait Civil ID is an official identification card issued by PACI to all residents of Kuwait, including citizens and expatriates. It's required for banking, government services, employment, and daily life.
Your Civil ID number is a 12-digit number on the front of your card. If you don't have your card, check your residency permit or ask your employer/sponsor.
The envelope (or serial) number is a separate number printed on the paper receipt PACI gives you when you apply or renew your Civil ID. It's optional — but if you provide it, we can also pull your card expiry date from PACI. Without it, we still retrieve card status, renewal progress and address verification using your Civil ID alone.
